About Us
Hart & Iliff was founded in 1889 by two brothers-in-law, Nathan H. Hart and Louis S. Iliff. The company initially sold feed and grain, coal and building materials. Eventually Hart & Iliff branched out into selling heating oil and installing/servicing heating and air conditioning equipment. After a number of years operating as partners, Louis Iliff bought out Nathan Hart. The business was run by the Iliff family continually until 1971 when it was purchased by Albert & Florence Brand.
